How do I process a chip transaction?
Type the amount into the keypad, tap Charge and ask your customer to insert their card.
To accept a contactless or chip payment on your Zeller Terminal 1 or 2, follow the recommended steps below:
- Select Payments from the navigation menu.
- Input the total amount to be charged to the customer.
- Tap Charge.
- Advise your customer to insert their card.
- If the card supports the EFTPOS debit network, the terminal will display an account selection screen with the following options:
- Savings
- Cheque
- Credit (if applicable on card)
- Once the customer selects the appropriate account, instruct them to enter their PIN to complete the transaction.
Once the transaction is successfully approved, you have the option to provide your customer with either a printed or digital receipt. If a receipt is not required, select New Sale to proceed to the next transaction.
