How do I process Split Payments on Zeller Terminal?

Split payments by number of people or enter in a custom amount.

If Split Payments has been enabled on your Zeller Terminal, the Payment screen will now display Split and Charge buttons. 

To begin processing a Split Payment transaction:

1. Enter in an amount to charge. 

2. Tap Split. 

3. Select either People or Amount. 

Split by People

1. By default, the amount will be split between 2 people. Increase or decrease the splits accordingly. Tap Next. 
2. Review the Payment Summary screen for the first payment. 
3. Tap Pay Now. Any Surcharges will be automatically applied on this screen and displayed to the customer.
4. Advise the customer to tap or insert their card. 
5. Once approved, a receipt can be printed or sent and the next payment can be started.

6. The next person will now see the remaining balance on the payment summary screen. You can repeat the process from Step 2 until the full amount has been settled.

Split by Amount

1. Enter the amount of the first payment and tap Pay Now. Any Surcharges will be automatically applied on this screen and displayed to the customer.
2. Advise the customer to tap or insert their card. 
3. Once approved, a receipt can be printed or sent and the next payment can be started.
4. The next person will now see the remaining balance on the payment summary screen. You can repeat the process from Step 1 until the full amount has been settled
