The Item Export feature also allows you to export your existing item catalogue. This is useful for backing up your data, making bulk edits, or transferring data to other systems.
Admin Users:
- Accessing the Export Feature:
- Log in to the Zeller Dashboard as an admin user.
- Navigate to the Item → All Items Management section.
- Click on Manage and click on the Export all Items.
- Downloading the Export:
- The system will generate a CSV file containing all your items.
- Depending on your browser settings, the file may automatically download or you may be prompted to choose a save location.
- Export Content:
- The exported CSV will contain all items in your catalogue.
- It will include columns for all sites in your account.
- The file will contain all required fields

Date Created and Item ID are system-generated fields for the item. Item ID is used to match existing items in your catalogue for bulk updating.

Managers Users:

- Log in to the Zeller Dashboard as Manager user with Item Management permissions.
- Navigate to the Item Management section.
- Click on the "Export all Items" link.
- Downloading the Export:
- The system will generate a CSV file containing all items you have permission to view.
- The file will download automatically or prompt you to choose a save location.
- Export Content:
- The exported CSV will contain all items you have access to.
- It will include columns only for sites you are assigned to.
- The file will contain all required fields, similar to the admin export, but with limited site columns based on your permissions.
Using the Exported Data
- Reviewing Data:
- Open the exported CSV file in a spreadsheet program.
- Review the data to ensure all items and their details are correctly represented.
- Making Bulk Edits:
- You can make changes to the exported file for bulk updates.
- Save your changes, ensuring you maintain the CSV format.
- Use the modified file with the Import feature to update your catalogue.
- Backup and Record Keeping:
- Regular exports serve as backups of your item catalogue.
- Store these exports securely for historical record-keeping or auditing purposes.
