Accept contactless, chip, magstripe, and MOTO payments using Zeller Terminal 1
A processing fee of 1.4% applies to all approved tapped, dipped, or swiped transactions, while MOTO transactions incur a 1.7% fee.
The minimum charge per transaction is $1.00. The maximum is $50,000 for card-present transactions and $25,000 for MOTO transactions.
Accept Contactless Payments
- Select Payments from the navigation menu.
- Enter the amount you wish to charge your customer.
- Tap Charge.
- Advise your customer to tap their card over the NFC icon at the rear of the Zeller Terminal.
After the payment is approved, you have the option to add a note and provide the customer with either a printed or digital receipt. If a receipt is not needed, simply select New Sale to continue.
Accept Chip Payments
- Select Payments from the navigation menu.
- Enter in the amount you wish to charge your customer.
- Tap Charge.
- Advise your customer to insert their card at the bottom of the Zeller Terminal.
- If the card supports the EFTPOS debit network, the customer will be presented with an account selection list on the touchscreen which has the following choices:
- Savings
- Cheque
- Credit (if applicable on card)
- Once selected, advise your customer to complete the transaction by entering their PIN.
After the payment is approved, you have the option to add a note and provide the customer with either a printed or digital receipt. If a receipt is not needed, simply select New Sale to continue.
Accept Swiped Payments
There are cases where a card presented by your customer is without a chip, or if the chip is broken, the Zeller Terminal will prompt you to swipe the card.
- Select Payments from the navigation menu.
- Enter in the amount you wish to charge your customer.
- Tap Charge.
- Advise your customer to swipe their card with the stripe facing inwards.
- If the card supports the EFTPOS debit network, the customer will be presented with an account selection list on the touchscreen which has the following choices:
- Savings
- Cheque
- Credit (if applicable on card)
- Once selected, advise your customer to complete the transaction by entering their PIN.
After the payment is approved, you have the option to add a note and provide the customer with either a printed or digital receipt. If a receipt is not needed, simply select New Sale to continue.
Accept MOTO payments
- Select Payments from the navigation menu.
- Tap the MODE button on the top right-hand corner and select MOTO.
- The screen will turn blue and proceed to enter the amount you wish to charge your customer on the keypad.
- Tap Manual Charge.
- The Zeller Terminal will prompt you to enter the customer's card number, expiry date and CVC.
- Tap Next.
- Tap Charge to complete the transaction.
After the payment is approved, you have the option to add a note and provide the customer with either a printed or digital receipt. If a receipt is not needed, simply select New Sale to continue.
